Job Summary

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative ideally located on the East Coast. This is a remote based position. Responsible for achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets from an assigned geographic territory for Charles River Discovery services. The Inside Sales Representative is a key contributor to the sales cycle supporting our overall sales organization while acting as the front line to our Customer Experience.

The following are responsibilities related to the Inside Sales Representative:

Work with management to prepare and implement a comprehensive territory management plan to identify new target accounts and target opportunities within assigned geographic region.
Gather and organize data on potential customers in your designated geographic region.
Handle assigned inbound client calls, or emails, qualify leads and provide timely response to the potential client.
Develop and qualify account leads through territory prospecting and frequent outbound virtual customer contact (phone call, video call etc.)
Build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of company services.
Communicate available services and inform customers of new services in a timely manner.
Work with management to prepare and provide accurate territory forecasts throughout the year to track achievements versus goals.
Work closely with the client services operations, finance, legal, and any other internal stakeholders relevant to the sales process.
Gather data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and an analysis of competitors.
Position does not require customer facing travel but candidate may be required to participate in sales meetings and trade shows as necessary.
Collaborates with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction
Share customer problems/concerns with all appropriate departments for quality resolution.
Assist with updating and maintaining applicable databases (SalesForce.com).
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

The following are minimum requirements related to the Inside Sales Representative position:

Education:
Bachelor s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in science, business or marketing related discipline.

Experience:
1-2 years sales or business development experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Proficient with customer relationship management software (i.e. SFDC, Microsoft Dynamics).
Other:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail required. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
